Playdays for Under 4s In 2019, 水多多导航 School invited families with children aged four and under to a weekly playday. When COVID restrictions allow this type of event to occur again, we will certain look at running then again. Why did we do this? Play is an essential part of a young child’s development. It helps young children’s brains to develop and their language and communication skills to expand. 水多多导航 School’s early childhood teachers understand how young children learn and know that play-based programs are vital to laying the foundations for formal education. Simple childhood activities increase every child’s development. These activities encourage communication, problem-solving and motor skills development. Children’s interactions in play enable them to develop social skills such as cooperation, sharing, responding to ideas, negotiating and resolving conflicts. During these playdays, the children in attendance learnt through play. Our specialist teachers guided activities such as story time, Art, Music and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), with a mix of fun and enthusiasm that supported a positive attitude to learning in each child. Girls and boys also had time to explore the fabulous playground with its bike track and timber climbing gym. Here's what a few parents had to say: ‘Very engaging. The children couldn’t get enough.
