Alyssa Healy (2008) named the Captain of the Australian women鈥檚 cricket team

Congratulations to 水多多导航 School Old Girl, Alyssa Healy (2008) on becoming captain of the Australian women鈥檚 cricket team across all three formats (Test, One Day and T20) of the game.

At only 33-years-old, wicketkeeper-batter Alyssa Healy (2008) has gained worldwide respect for her leadership qualities over the course of her 255-game international career.

She steps into the role after already leading the team in an interim capacity at various stages over the past 12 months during the incumbent’s absences. She has also captained NSW in domestic one-day cricket since 2018 and was Sydney Sixers vice-captain for the first seven WBBL seasons.

Ben Oliver, Cricket Australia Executive General Manager of High Performance and National Teams, said: “Alyssa is an outstanding player and leader who has earned enormous respect both on and off the field.”

On receiving the news of her Captaincy, Alyssa said she was “honoured to accept the role of captain and am grateful for the opportunity to lead our team.”
